Timothy Hawk, FAIA is a nationally recognized architect who specializes in the design of buildings with significant, sustainable interior environments. His work often includes the adaptation and rehabilitation of existing buildings, and his design philosophy promotes an architecture that elevates experience, is stimulating to the senses, and engaging for users.

As a national AIA leader, Hawk currently serves as AIA Treasurer and was the 2019-2021 At-large Board Member, 2016-2018 Strategic Councilor for Ohio Valley, 2017-2019 Liaison to AIAS, 2020 Chair of the AIA Government Advocacy Committee, and 2019 Chair of the Interior Architecture Knowledge Community. Hawk also served as the 2009 AIA Columbus President and received the AIA Ohio Mentor Award in 2020.

Since 1998, Hawk has led WSA, a multi-disciplinary practice in Columbus and Chicago. His firm has been recognized with the AIA Ohio Gold Medal, national, regional, and local design awards, and was recently included in the Columbus “Fast 50” business listing.

In addition to practice, Hawk has been an adjunct professor of architecture for twenty-three years at Columbus State Community College and recently joined the faculty at Ohio State’s Knowlton School of Architecture.
