Access to decent and adequate housing is a universal right, but it has become a problem on a global scale. The search for solutions is a collective responsibility.

For this reason, the International Union of Architects (UIA) and the Spanish Council of Architects (CSCAE), with the support of the Government of Spain, the Municipality of Madrid, the Regional Government of Madrid, the Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM) and UN-Habitat, have joined efforts to launch the UIA 2022 International Forum Affordable Housing Activation: Removing barriers, the major global event on access to housing.
