Yoshiyuki Kawazoe was born in Kanagawa in 1979. He earned Bachelor, Master and Ph.D in Engineering degrees from The University of Tokyo. He also studied at TU Delft, the Netherlands. Heʼs been collaborating with the kousou Inc. design office. Selected works include “Henn na Hotel”, “Restoration and Anex of General Library in The University of Tokyo” etc. Heʼs also published books such as “Trace the spirit put into the space”(Gentosha Literary Publication), “Live in this city”(「SHOKOKUSHA Publishing Co.,Ltd)etc. So far heʼs received Good Design Award, Architectural Designs Young Architects Award, Rogelio Salmona South America architecture prize, etc. As a contribution to society, heʼs been acting as the Chairman of Japan - Neth-erlands Architecture Cultural Association (JNACA).
