RidgeRunner Architectural Design & Development
http://www.aiasf.org/Job_Resources/Job_Board.htm
Are you a Japanese architect thinking of returning home? Work in
Hokkaido for a fast growing Japanese architectural design and
construction company.
RidgeRunner Architectural Design & Development (www.ridgerunner.jp) is
looking for a Japanese architect to work on a range of exciting projects
for the Niseko resort area of Hokkaido.
We want to hire a Japanese architect to provide full architectural
services from design to completion. Qualifications we’re seeking are
three-to-five years post-grad study and experience in working with
non-Japanese nationals.
Work will range from detached ski homes and small-scale condominiums and
land sub divisions to boutique tourism developments including onsen
villages and eco-village organic farm projects.
We’re a rapidly growing company and offer the opportunity to put your
architectural knowledge into practice in Japan’s most exciting property
market. Niseko is Japan’s fastest growing property market second only to
Tokyo for foreign investment. RidgeRunner was launched in 2005 to help
foreign investors with their Niseko architectural and construction
requirements.
The architect we require can take briefs from the client; sketch ideas
and develop plans; undertake planning studies; form teams of
consultants; and be the liaison between the client, architect team and
construction group. Strong written and spoken English is a must. An
interest in sustainable environmental issues and rural re-development
would also be a plus, combined with consideration for the client budgets
and desires.
RidgeRunner is owned and operated by longstanding Hokkaido companies
Marukin Sasaki Construction, Wakahara Construction and Hokubu Sogyo
Group. Architects will be working with overseas clients and liaising
with a large team of architects, engineers and contractors.
The position is based in Sapporo at the company’s head office and will
require site visits to the Niseko region on a regular basis. We offer
highly competitive remuneration and the chance to advance your career
rapidly in a dynamic market.
