Membership

Membership in AIA Japan includes invitations and discounts to events, discounts to publications, special access to AIA website information, and a subscription to Architectural Record (the official magazine of the American Institute of Architects). As part of our AIA Japan Mission statement, our goal is to increase the visibility of our members as professionals, and to help provide a collective voice as one architectural community.

1. Architect Member (AIA) Individuals licensed to practice architecture in U.S. State or Territory.

2. Associate Member (Assoc. AIA) Assoc. AIA is open to individuals who meet one of the following criteria:
   Recent graduate with a degree in architecture
   Currently enrolled in the Intern Development Program (IDP) and working towards licensure, or
   Currently work under the supervision of an architect or hold a degree in architecture, or
   Faculty member in a university program in architecture.

3. International Associate Architect Member (Int'l Assoc. AIA) Individuals who have an architecture license or equivalent from a non-U.S. Licensing authority.

Fees: Please note that there are two separate fees for membership: AIA National and AIA Japan. The AIA National fee is listed in the your application form, which is available via the links above.

1. Architect Members: $180USD
2. Associate Member: $90USD
3. International Associate Members: $180USD

AIA Professional Affiliate Membership

AIA Professional Affiliate Membership AIA Japan Professional Affiliate Membership is available to all individuals allied to the architecture field (including construction, development, engineering, law, interior design, consulting, manufacturing, and service / product representatives). Professional affiliates will not receive national mailings, but are eligible for a host of local benefits outlined below.

Dues for Professional Affiliate Membership in AIA Japan are \30,000 annually. Membership is effective immediately upon payment and receipt of completed application forms.

Benefits of Membership

Listing on the AIA Japan website on-line membership directory. Invitation to place your Banner advertisement on AIA Japan website. Discounts to chapter programs and events. Sponsorship invitations to specific AIA Japan events. (Separate sponsorship fees) Networking via all chapter activities. The Annual Fee of \30,000 is payable bank transfer. After doing so, please fill in this application form (PDF) and return it with a copy of payment details to AIA Japan at the above fax number.
