As AIA Japan begins its 3rd year since its founding, it is very exciting to see the many new opportunities in 2008 to grow, broaden the scope of its activities, and better serve its members. The means of communication that AIA Japan has already accomplished have been inspiring; for our members it has created closer contact with fellow members, our local community and universities, organizations such as the JIA, and clearer communication with AIA National. My hope for 2008 is to continue this growth and focus on our very unique position of being an international chapter of the AIA, helping to better our community through our profession, while sharing the great wealth of international experience of our members with others.
